Product Camp Philosophy
Silicon Valley Product Management Association (SVPMA) organized the first Product Camp over two decades ago. Product Camps have subsequently sprung up in major cities around the world where people design, engineer, and market products to customers.
Breaking the Silos
Great products require teams with knowledge, experience, and the skills to work together effectively. Product Camp organizers recognize that individual companies are silos of practices and experiences. By gathering together and sharing ideas, participants get to hear multiple perspectives, learn about new technologies and practices, and come away with fresh ideas on how to do their jobs more effectively.
Rather than recruiting presenters, Product Camp recognizes that every attendee may have knowledge and experience worth sharing. As product professionals, each attendee can leverage their presentation skills to create meaningful sessions that will appeal to other attendees.
The Brain Trust
Many product professionals experience the feeling of loneliness in their roles, as so few people understand their problems or challenges. When you attend Product Camp, remember to look around and notice all the people who have come together. Each of them, like you, is there to learn, to network, and to become a better product professional. Take the time to get to know a few people during breaks. They may be part of your brain trust in the future.
Our Supporters
Sponsors help defray the cost of Product Camp. In appreciation for their support, they are offered an opportunity to make brief presentations before the main breakout sessions begin.
